A spike-tipped post is all you need when using the Halo™ system on lawn or bare ground. Just tamp the post into the ground, slip the ring onto the post, and add a bag and lid. What could be simpler? If conditions are breezy, Halos stay put, because they're stuck in the ground. Need a free-standing solution? Just add a second ring and post. The top ring and base ring are interchangeable, making assembly that much easier, and adding flexibility to the entire system.
The Halo™ system works with a variety of bag sizes so there's no need to purchase custom-made bags. (Windsor Barrel Works stocks clear and black bags for the Halo™ system.) There are two frame sizes from which to choose: a convenient 30 gallon, 19 inch diameter, and a huge 55 gallon, 24 inch diameter. Since there's no frame surrounding the bags, they can expand to capacities well beyond 30 or 55 gallons!
Clear bags are typically used with bag and frame systems because the cans and bottles visible inside, signal the container's recycling function. However, recycling containers should always be placed next to trash containers so the public is less likely to contaminate the recyclables with trash. Need a Halo™ for trash? We have the necessary labels and bags.
When bags are full, there's no need to lift or pull them out through the structure of a four-sided, folding-style frame. Instead, the Halo™ single-post design allows you to remove full bags straight out the front; nothing gets in the way. And if you're wondering how a single post holds the weight of a bag full of recyclables, it doesn't; the ground supports the bag and it's contents.
Clear lids made of post-consumer recycled plastic (PET) top off the Halo™ frame. User-applied decals, placed on the lids, identify the items to be deposited. Decals, available in blue or green, include the universal recycling symbol and the words:
CANS & BOTTLES • ALUMINUM CANS • PLASTIC BOTTLES • GLASS BOTTLES • RECYCLE ONLY
We also have labels for TRASH and we can modify your lids and customize the labeling to meet your specific needs.
